The UAE-based company Dana Gas on Wednesday confirmed that production at the Khor Mor power facility in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq has been restored to normal levels following the recent attack.
“This resumption follows strengthened security measures implemented by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) and federal authorities, to whom we extend our thanks.”
Furthermore, Dana Gas and its partners added that they “remain committed to the safety of its personnel and facilities and to supporting electricity generation and LPG supply for the people of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq.”Last week, a rocket attack targeted the Khor Mor gas field, leading to a production shutdown and widespread power cuts in the Kurdistan Region.

On Sunday, the KRG Ministry of Electricity announced that 24/7 hour electricity supply to the Kurdistan Region had been completely restored.
KRG Prime Minister Mansrour Barzani in a statement on Sunday said that he had reassured Dana Gas that the “KRG will do all it can with partners in the federal government to hold the perpetrators accountable and prevent further terror attacks.
In parallel, we are working with our international partners to secure the capabilities necessary to protect our people, critical infrastructure, and investments.”
Furthermore, the outgoing Head of the UN Assistance Mission for Iraq Mohamed al-Hassan on Tuesday expressed concerns over attacks on oil and gas facilities in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. “This has to stop and those responsible must be brought to justice,” he said.
