Kurdish leaders on Wednesday condemned the attack on the headquarters of TUSAS, a Turkish state-run aerospace company, near the capital Ankara that killed at least five people.
“I condemn the terrorist attack in Ankara. I conveyed my condolences to Turkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan,” Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani wrote in a post on X.
“My thoughts are with the families of the victims and I wish the injured a speedy recovery.”

Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani also condemned “today’s terrorist attack in Ankara. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims, and I wish a swift recovery to the injured.
“We stand in full solidarity with the people and government of Turkiye against terrorism,” he added.
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Turkish authorities said they are investigating the incident.
Just one week ago, President Barzani met with Turkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara on October 16.

“Our discussions covered a range of issues, including enhancing regional stability and further strengthening the ties between the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and Turkiye,” President Barzani posted on X at the time.
