The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Coordinator for International Advocacy Dindar Zebari met with UK Consul General Andrew Beasley on Thursday to discuss the region's human rights action plan.
The meeting focused on the final report of the KRG Human Rights Action Plan (2021-2025) and preparations for the upcoming Universal Periodic Review (UPR). Coordinator Zebari reiterated the readiness of his office to provide all necessary facilitation between the KRG and international stakeholders.
Coordinator Zebari expressed appreciation for the role of the UK in different stages of the region’s governance experience and acknowledged the valuable support extended toward strengthening institutions and judicial capacity.

He further requested that, in the coming stages, the UK Consulate General support the implementation of the UPR recommendations for the 2026–2030 cycle, which will undoubtedly yield significant impact, particularly in areas still facing challenges.
