Barzani Charity Foundation (BCF) Representative in the United States Khunav Amin recently held an information seminar in Washington, D.C, aimed at introducing the BCF to various civil society organizations, humanitarian aid groups, and influential individuals within the community. During the seminar, Amin highlighted the significant projects and activities undertaken by the BCF since its inception, showcasing the wide range of services and collaborations developed across different sectors in the Kurdistan Region and worldwide.
“I would like to continue to establish ties with various donors in the United States who are willing to invest in and contribute to the causes that our organization upholds and cherishes,” Amin told Kurdistan Chronicle. She also emphasized that the BCF has both long-term and short-term projects in the pipeline, particularly focusing on fundraising events to support those in need in the Kurdistan Region.
At the seminar, Amin took the opportunity to recognize Shahin Mafi, the founder of the Azar Foundation for the Children of the World, for her essential role in supporting initiatives that empower women and children through health and education. In collaboration with the BCF, the Azar Foundation has successfully executed numerous projects, establishing itself as a key partner in the United States for supporting BCF initiatives. Mafi’s contributions have been pivotal in recent projects, including providing backpacks, reconstructing schools for the 2024-2025 academic school year, and creating sensory gyms in schools for children with autism.
