On Thursday, September 17, 2026, Ziyad Raoof, the Kurdistan Regional Government Representative to Poland, was honored with a medal commemorating the 115th Anniversary of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers (ZPAP).

This distinction was presented by the Board of Directors of the Kraków Branch of ZPAP in recognition of Raoof’s 15 years of cooperation with the artistic community, as well as his commitment to developing and promoting art.

ZPAP, established in 1911 in Kraków, is one of the oldest professional artist unions in Europe and the official organization representing visual arts in Poland.

In recent years, Raoof has received multiple awards, and in 2020 was named the Krakow Ambassador of Multiculturalism.

At the invitation of Poland’s Minister of Culture, he served for two terms as a council member of the Polish National Museum.
