On Sunday, President Masoud Barzani underlined that political disputes should not become a cause for damaging relations between Kurds and Arabs.

He made this statement during the visit of several Arab dignitaries, elders, and tribal and clan leaders from all over Iraq who came to offer condolences over the death of President Barzani’s brother, Abdulwahid Ibrahim Sheikh Abdulsalam Barzani.

According to Barzani headquarters, the visiting leaders praised President Barzani’s role in deepening fraternity and coexistence in Iraq, particularly between Kurds and Arabs.

Following the September 4 death of Sheikh Abdulsalam Barzani, funeral proceedings and mourning receptions were held in Barzan and Pirmam, with several Middle Eastern leaders, including the leaders of Qatar and the UAE, sending condolences to the Barzani family.
