German-Kurdish footballer Deniz Undav, who plays for Germany’s national team, and Kurdish world boxing champion Agit Kabayel congratulated Amedspor on social media for their 2–1 victory over Trabzonspor on Monday evening.
Amedspor and Trabzonspor met for the first time at a highly anticipated match in Diyarbakır (Amed). Tickets were sold out days in advance, and the 33,000-capacity Diyarbakır Stadium was packed, reported BBC Turkish.
