Seyamand Rida, an undefeated 25-year-old Kurdish professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter known as “The King,” extended his perfect professional record by defeating Brazilian opponent Victor Estevam de Mello Souza at the FITBOX Fighting Championship in Muscat, Oman. 

Rida secured the victory via rear-naked choke submission in the second round, maintaining his unbeaten record and further strengthening his case as a rising prospect aiming to reach the UFC.

“Now I am just one or two fights away from reaching the UFC. My professional record is now officially 6-0,” Rida told Kurdistan Chronicle.

“My message to the Kurdish people is: You will see me in the UFC soon, insha’Allah, and I will proudly hold the Kurdish flag in front of the whole world.”

Norway-born Rida, with roots in Kalar, Iraq, is a 25-year-old professional MMA fighter and is ranked 71st in the Pro Men’s Lightweight category in Middle East and Africa.
