On Thursday, the Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Department of Foreign Relations and the American University of Kurdistan in Duhok (AUK) signed a memorandum of understanding for developing cooperation and scientific exchange.
“I received Dr. @honarissa and his delegation today. We signed an MoU between the Department of Foreign Relations and @OfficialAuk to promote cooperation in joint research, internships, capacity building and diplomatic forums,” Safeen Dizayee, Head of the KRG Department of Foreign Relations, posted on X.
The memorandum covers five areas of cooperation: joint research and information exchange, student internships, capacity building, joint conferences and forums, and knowledge exchange through academic dialogue and expert meetings.
The AUK was founded in 2014 as a non-profit institution of higher learning by KRG Prime Minister Masrour Barzani.
