Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani is scheduled to arrive in Turkey on Saturday on an official visit to meet with Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
During the visit, Prime Minister Barzani will also meet with Turkey’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan and other senior officials at the Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul.
The KRG readout said the discussions will focus on the enhancement of bilateral relations, as well as developments and the situation in Iraq and the wider region.
KRG Prime Minister Barzani last met with President Erdogan at the Republican Palace in Ankara on January 7, 2025.

During the last meeting between Prime Minister Barzani and President Erdogan, emphasis was placed on the importance of resolving the issues between the KRG and the Federal Government of Iraq based on the constitution, and removing obstacles to the export of Kurdistan’s oil.
Also last year, Prime Minister Barzani met with Minister Fidan to discuss current developments.
