Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Monday traveled to Switzerland for the fifth time to participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, which will be held from January 19-23.

This year’s Davos conference will be held under the theme “A Spirit of Dialogue,” aiming to connect leaders to confront shared challenges and drive innovations defining the future.

At Davos, Prime Minister Barzani will hold a series of meetings with global leaders, senior officials, and business figures to discuss the developments in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the wider region.

He will also highlight the KRG’s reforms across various sectors aiming to build a strong economic infrastructure in the Kurdistan Region.

Last year, Prime Minister Barzani also attended the 2025 WEF in Davos and held several meetings to strengthen bilateral relations and expand economic cooperation.

He met with leaders and senior officials from several countries around the world to discuss trade, investment, finance, e-governance, regional security, and political developments in Iraq and Syria.

The Kurdistan House, which was established for the first time at the 2024 WEF in Davos, will showcase the region’s potential on the global stage as a hub for investment and innovation, fostering opportunities for global partnerships and economic growth.
