Telman Davudov, a Kurdish mixed martial arts (MMA) boxer, faced Uzbek boxer Zinatdin Kulbaev on November 28, in the Octagon League in Kazakhstan.Within the very first seconds of the match, Davudov’s punches overpowered his Uzbek opponent, securing him the second victory of his athletic career.

In an exclusive statement to Kurdistan Chronicle, Davudov said that since childhood he has been passionate about martial arts, and that his efforts are aimed at achieving even greater success so that in the future he can represent Kurdistan at higher levels of international tournaments and become a world champion.

So far, Davudov has participated in two international MMA fights and has won both.

Davudov, 32, is a Kurdish boxer based in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Competing in the 93-kg weight class in MMA, he ranks 4069 in Eurasia. In Kazakhstan and the Middle East, he is a well-known name in freestyle martial arts.
