During the meeting, the delegation briefed Prime Minister Barzani on the work and activities of the group.

Prime Minister Barzani expressed his gratitude to the group, thanking the British government for the support provided to the Kurdistan Region in defending the rights of its people. He also commended the group’s efforts to strengthen bilateral relations.

“I had a productive discussion with the U.S. Congressional delegation on our reforms in energy, finance and peshmerga affairs,” Prime Minister Barzani posted on X. “We addressed relations with the federal government and resuming KRI oil exports.

“We agreed that forming a unified KRG cabinet is key to moving forward.”
