Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Monday received a business delegation from the Sultanate of Oman led by Qais Mohammed al-Yousef, Oman’s Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion.
During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the necessity of strengthening relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Sultanate of Oman in various fields, particularly in trade, industry, and investment.

The head of the Omani delegation expressed his pleasure in visiting the Kurdistan Region and reaffirmed his country’s readiness to enhance bilateral relations.
In this regard, he highlighted the importance of opening a general consulate of Oman in the Kurdistan Region in the near future.
Prime Minister Barzani also reiterated the Kurdistan Region’s desire to expand relations with the Sultanate of Oman.
The business delegation also visited the Machko Cultural Café near the Erbil Citadel, where they were welcomed by KRG officials.
During the visit, they discussed Erbil’s rich history and its ancient landmarks, including the citadel and the Mudhafaria Minaret.
