Kurdish Athletes Achieve Top Jiu-Jitsu Honors in Ukraine

Danielo Rahim, known as “Mir Kurd,” a 22-year-old Kurdish martial artist residing in Ukraine, won first place in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition held in Kyiv, the country’s capital. 

Competing under the name of Kurdistan in the 85.5-kg category, he secured the gold medal.

In the same tournament, 11-year-old Kurdish athlete Alan Mohammad Reza also made a remarkable achievement, earning second place in the 50.5-kg category.

These victories highlight the growing presence of Kurdish athletes on the international stage.
