Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Barzani on Monday traveled to Bahrain for talks on regional security and economic cooperation.

During his visit, he met with Noor al-Khulaif, Bahrain’s Minister of Sustainable Development and CEO of Bahrain Economic Development Board, to discuss economic diversification and investment.
“We discussed partnerships that create jobs and attract investment in the region,” Prime Minister Barzani posted on X.

Moreover, in a visit to Muharraq, he explored Bahrain’s efforts to promote cultural landmarks, “as we do in the Kurdistan Region.”
According to a readout from the KRG, Prime Minister Barzani’s visit to Bahrain includes meetings with Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa , government ministers, and senior Bahraini officials to discuss the development of bilateral relations, recent changes, and future opportunities in the region.
The Kurdistan Region has a rich history — a great asset and potential for tourism.
