Agro Pack Iraq 2024 this year is scheduled to take place from November 25-28 in Erbil, featuring the participation of international companies, including those from the Netherlands.
“Less than two months until Agro Pack Erbil Fair, Iraq’s largest agrifood and packaging exhibition. This year, the Netherlands pavilion is bigger than ever. Dutch companies interested in joining the NL mission can reach out to us,” the Agriculture Team of the Netherlands’ Consulate General in Erbil posted on X.
The Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security, and Nature in a statement said that Agro Pack Iraq is Iraq’s leading agrifood, plastics, and packaging fair.
Last year, the event attracted 222 exhibitors from 16 countries showcasing their innovative products and solutions to thousands of trade visitors from around Iraq and the entire region.
Participating Dutch companies can exhibit their innovations, from greenhouse technology, fertilizers, seeds, storage, and processing machinery to dairy, poultry, and agri-business services. “We especially welcome a focus on sustainability in agriculture such as through water efficiency,” the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature said.

The outgoing Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Erbil Jaco Beerends told Kurdistan Chronicle in an interview on March 4 that private sector development is an important part of the diversification strategy of the Kurdistan Regional Government, and that the Netherlands advocates “for Dutch companies to come and conduct their business in the Kurdistan Region.”
“In that light, we are again present at Agro Pack, which is the biggest agricultural fair in the Kurdistan Region.”
