Tara Mamedova, a Kurdish singer originally born in Kyrgyzstan, announced on Monday that she will soon release a new album and organize a world tour to promote it.
“For two years, we have been in a very special cooperation with Vellua Project. My new album Lilav (Snow Water), consisting of completely new works, is ready, and I will share the first song from the album with you next week. Get ready for a world tour adorned with love, affection, and peace,” she posted on Facebook.

Mamedova was born on April 22, 1983, in Kyrgyzstan. She spent the first eight years of her childhood there before moving to Russia. She now lives in Istanbul.
Originally, she was encouraged to pursue art and music by her mother, who was also a teacher and enrolled her in schools for dance, theater, and music. Later, she received musical education in Moscow and France, where she attended a conservatory after her family moved there.
While continuing her music education, she also met groups playing jazz music on the streets. During this process, she completed her music education.
Her music is inspired by experimental folk and jazz music. Mamedova published her first four songs in 2010 and moved to Turkiye in 2014, where she performed in various cities.
Her first album Ax was released in 2015, blending Russian romance music with Kurdish melodies. In 2018, she released the album Live Studio Session Istanbul. In January 2023, she released her single Sino (Speed up). She sings in several languages, including several Kurdish dialects.
