The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Ministry of Electricity on October 30 announced that nearly 4.5 million citizens, or nearly 70% of the Kurdistan Region’s population, now have access to 24-hour electricity under the Runaki (light) program.
This brings 24-hour electricity to the city centers of Soran and Zakho, and Ranya in the Raparin Administration is being prepared to join Runaki soon.
