On Monday, Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received a delegation from the UAE headed by Noura al-Kaabi, Minister of State at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and conveyed the Kurdistan Region’s appreciation for the continued support of the UAE leadership.
According to the KRG readout, the UAE delegation reaffirmed the importance of the Kurdistan Region and reiterated their readiness to further develop cooperation and coordination across all sectors.

During the meeting, they emphasized the importance of further strengthening the special and friendly relations between the Kurdistan Region and the UAE.
Additionally, in a separate meeting, Prime Minister Barzani received Christoph Prommersberger, Charge d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, in which they discussed strengthening bilateral relations and political and security developments in Iraq and the wider region.
According to the KRG readout, Prime Minister Barzani expressed gratitude to the Netherlands’ mission for supporting the KRG’s reform agenda, particularly in advancing economic diversification and developing the agricultural sector.

The Netherlands has been a strong supporter of agriculture and business development in the Kurdistan Region.
Furthermore, the Kurdistan Region has exported agricultural products to the UAE and has cooperated in the fields like government services, construction, education, and digital transformation.
