Councillor Sarbaz Barznji, Chair of Kurds for Labour, has sent a letter to Kurdistan Chronicle expressing appreciation for its support during the 15th anniversary of Kurds for Labour, held in London on January 14, 2025.

The event was graced by various ministers, members of parliament, Lords, and the General Supervisor of the Kurdistan Diaspora Confederation, with Kurdistan Chronicle prominently featured.

“I am writing to extend my heartfelt thanks to Kurdistan Chronicle for its message of support and for having your representative, Goran Shakhawan, present at our recent event celebrating the return of the Labour government. His presence was greatly appreciated by all attendees, and it was an honor to have him join us for such a significant occasion,” Barznji wrote in his official letter.

“The presence of your magazine at the event was positively received by everyone. Many attendees were delighted to take copies home, reflecting the valuable insights and perspectives your publication offers,” Barznji added.

Since its establishment in 2023, Kurdistan Chronicle has been proud to play the leading role as the voice of the people of Kurdistan, including all its diverse religious and ethnic groups. With a worldwide distribution, Kurdistan Chronicle not only tells untold stories from Kurdistan, but also works to connect Kurdish diaspora communities across the globe.

During the Kurds for Labour anniversary, Firiad Hiwaizi, one of the participants, expressed his enthusiasm for the magazine, stating that “we need such a publication. I am confident that not only Kurds in diaspora, but also English speakers will gain a wealth of information monthly on Kurdish history, culture, and politics.”
