The Kurdistan Association for Development Economics (KADE), a new platform to strengthen Kurdistan’s economic future, was launched on January 5.
KADE focuses on sustainable economic development in the Kurdistan Region. It brings together experts, researchers, and individuals to create strategies, conduct research, and promote economic growth.
KADE called on economists and researchers to apply via the online application form to work together to build a stronger economy for Kurdistan.
KADE also said they are launching an essay competition. The topics will focus on economic growth, innovation, and sustainability.

On December 18, South Korea’s Consulate in Erbil hosted the Fourth Du Ks Eco Forum, during which the Republic of Korea’s Consul General Seungcheol Lim underlined the importance of KADE’s goal to institutionalize economic progress in the Kurdistan Region, and to strengthen cultural ties between South Korea and the Kurdistan Region.
