Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani on Saturday condemned Friday’s attack on a Christmas market in Magdeburg, Germany, which killed two and injured over 60.

“I am appalled by the horrific attack on the Christmas market in Magdeburg, Germany,” KRG Prime Minister Barzani posted on X.

“I convey my condolences to the people and government of Germany and my thoughts are with the victims and their families at this difficult time.”

Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani also strongly condemned “last night’s barbaric attack on a Christmas market in Magdeburg, Germany.”

“In the Kurdistan Region, we stand with the German people during these difficult times. Our hearts and thoughts are with the families of the victims, and we wish the injured a swift recovery.”
