U.S. Ambassador Condemns Attacks on U.S. Companies

U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Alina Romanowski on May 30 condemned attacks against U.S. and international businesses in Baghdad.

She urged “the Government of Iraq to conduct a thorough investigation, bring to justice those who are responsible, and prevent future attacks.”

On Thursday, a branch of the U.S. construction equipment manufacturing company Caterpillar and the educational center British Cambridge Institute on Palestine Street in Baghdad were targeted with sound grenades.

On May 26-27, U.S.-owned restaurants KFC and Chili House were attacked in Baghdad in protest over U.S. support for Israel.
